Carry Protocol is a project that compensates individual consumers for sharing their offline purchase data to build the most comprehensive offline purchase database, and receiving ads from advertisers that use the Carry database to send targeted ads. Carry empowers consumers by giving them back the full control of their data and its monetization, and enables businesses to send targeted ads to the right consumers using the shared data.
When consumers pay for coffee, noodles, skin care service or a cosmetic product in offline stores, they can use a Carry-integrated app to share purchase data to receive CRE. Over time, Carry will build an anonymized offline profile of consumers based on their spending habits. This database will be used by advertisers to target consumers, and advertisers can send ads directly to Carry users and they will receive CRE as a result of viewing ads. Carry Protocol is one of Korea’s hottest projects due to the team’s ability to scale and execute in the offline world. Carry is expected to deploy across more than 10,000 offline stores via its partnership with Spoqa, operator of Korea’s largest loyalty solution for offline merchants. Dodo Point is used by 20 million users in Korea and in Japan through 150,000 times transaction records a day, and by leveraging Dodo Point’s business assets, Carry is poised to become one of the most used blockchain services in 2020.
Carry has an over the counter (OTC) partnership with global crypto ATM firm and OTC services provider Genesis Block, which has monthly volumes of over 120M USD. The team has also received early investments from Hashed, Signum Capital, Link VC and Ledger Capital to name a few, who believe in the common aim to empower individual consumers with control over their data in an offline market that is worth $25 trillion.
“We are excited to be working with BiKi to further expand our reach and growth in the Asian markets,” says Richard Choi, CEO of Carry Protocol, “very soon, consumers will be able to use CRE on our marketplace for their daily commerce purposes. This is a vision that we are committed to deliver and confident that BiKi can support well with.”
With Carry, users can choose which sets of private data they want to share, and instead of another company profiting from data collection and targeted ads, the user benefits from ad revenues.
Speaking about Carry Protocol (CRE), BiKi.com SEA CEO Ethan Ng mentioned: “I think it is great that Carry Protocol focuses on privacy. Data protection is in a crucial stage now with Carry Protocol leading in the right trajectory. I am glad to have CRE listed with us and look forward to seeing their applications in privacy payments for blockchain users.”
In 2020, Carry Protocol has plans to expand its ecosystem worldwide, starting with the partnership with BiKi. The Carry team is expected to raise more awareness and expand potential consumer groups beyond Korea to an international audience through BiKi’s unique strategies. That is to place projects in top thriving crypto markets and build their communities and media exposure from scratch to help them grow quickly.
